Following a failed engagement, Lou discovers she has a talent for writing other people’s wedding vows. Word spreads across Chicago’s wedding scene and Lou’s services are in high demand. She even has a new admirer in Dash. But everything changes when she’s asked to write vows for Olivia, who’s marrying Warren, Lou’s old college flame.

Body Language is an American game show produced by Mark Goodson Productions. The show aired on CBS from June 4, 1984 until January 3, 1986, and was hosted by Tom Kennedy. Johnny Olson announced until his death in October 1985; Gene Wood and Bob Hilton shared the announcing duties afterward, and had substituted on occasion before that.The show pitted two teams against each other, each consisting of a contestant and a celebrity guest. The gameplay centered around the party game charades, in the same vein as the earlier Goodson program Showoffs, but contestants also had to solve word puzzles to win money, making Body Language a cross between Showoffs and Password Plus.

Because of physical separation, my grandmother slowly forgets her native tongue and the languages she spoke as a child, mirroring the movement and transformation of living languages. The act of remembering brings back these decomposing versions of past selves, selves that never were or briefly were, then hidden away but not discarded. The film intentionally chooses to leave all sequences unsubtitled.
